Michelle started running in late September 2011. Since then she made a goal to run a 5k every month that turned into a 10k goal, to a half marathon the following year. By 2013, she ran 6 full marathons almost every other month & started considering to travel just to run a race. It became a healthy habit. By 2014, Michelle had run as far as a 50k and began looking into cross training via crossfit. Although she’s toned down the cardio due to crossfit, it still helps her in preparation for a half marathon. Michelle currently works in the medical field and aspires to pursue a career in nursing. The 12-hour shift keeps her on her feet and loosen up her legs for another run. To her, the most rewarding thing about being a pacer is to know she helped a runner achieve his or her own personal goals.
