After 5 kids, Michelle came back to running to lose a few pounds. After doing a couch to 5K program, a friend invited her to an overnight relay and it was life-changing. Running is fun! She signed up for another relay. Then she captained 13 more relays, ran a half marathon, a 26K, and a full! The day of the marathon, she found out she was expecting #6. The idea of losing her fitness gains and starting over was discouraging. With the support of her doctor, she ran up to delivery, completing half marathons and overnight relays as late as 34 weeks. Michelle often leads group runs in a nearby wilderness area. She is an active member of several running groups, loves to coach and encourage new runners, and push and challenge experienced runners. Running is her preferred method of social interaction, her favorite date-night activity and a great way to feel amazing.
