Richard ran track in high school. Thirty years year later and 50 pounds heavier he decided to try running again after a series of health issues. He ran his first marathon 6 months later at 3:08. He has run 14 full marathons. His PRs are 2:58 for a full and 1:25 for a half marathon.
His other main interest is recreational flying. He owns a airplane and takes likes to take other runners with him on fly/run day trips. “It gives me great satisfaction to share two of my loves. We have flown to and ran beautiful places such as: Yosemite, Grand Canyon, Big Bear and Catalina Island.”
His race goals are to have fun, run hard and finish strong. Richard looks forward to pacing and helping others reach their race goals.
